Come out for a Day of Fun while Practising and Improving your Skills in the Basics of Lawn Bowling.
The Day will be be Conducted in Two Parts:
Morning Session: Three different activities will focus on Novice Skills with orientation to short, medium and long jacks.
Afternoon Session: Features the Singles Challenge where you will pit your improved skills against other participants in three 6-end games, also with a focus on short, medium and long rink skills.
Prizes will be awarded for the top 3 participants inboth the Morning and Afternoon Sessions.
Experts: We plan to have a number of Experienced Bowlers to provide advice and guidance for those who would like to benefit from such expertise.
This is a “brown bag” event, but coffee, tea, soft drinks and nibblies will be available.
Cost: $5.00 at time of registration
Pre-registration: Contact Jennifer Bennett by telephone (613-623-9455) or by e-mail (jenjohnoliver@live.com). Applications should be provided before July 8, 2011. Any Novice Member of any District 16 Club is eligible to attend.
Start Time: Sign-in from 8:30 am. Coffee, tea, water and snacks available. Participants will be invited to throw a few practice bowls prior to the 9:30 am start.
Location: The Galetta Lawn Bowling Club, 119 Darwin St., Galetta. (turn NORTH at the tracks on the Galetta Side Road towards the Community Centre)
